Regretfully “Kicking the Can Down The Road”

Pearl and I are saddened by needing to do this.

Pearl Kicking the Can Down the Road

Pearl felt that she had been doing nothing more about her ambitions of being an author and illustrator other than simply “kicking the can down the road.” Even though she had never seen that particular can, she was sure it must have looked very dented and disgusting after all of that kicking.

Seriously, We Are Not Happy About This!

We have been experiences so many delays with promises made and obligations here and there and everywhere. Nevertheless, we have been able to make a few illustrations together this week, especially with Thursday having been The Feast of The Ascension (which we learned is not celebrated in all denominations, but which Pearl and I love to celebrate!)

Pearl was excited whenever The Songbirds of The Living Library sang about the time Jesus was taken up into Heaven. She realized that the heart of Jesus was the first earthly flesh heart like her own to enter The Heavenly Kingdom of God The Father. She knew if His Heart was there, her heart could be there too.

Thoughts About Improvements Suggested by a Dear Friend of Ours Who had Raised Emily and Amelia Who We Loved and Now Miss

The improvements suggested by a Dear Friend have to do with Pearl’s new project about The Ancient Words of The Songbirds. Pearl insisted that we show this cover first right here on Substack, and I agree wholeheartedly. Here is the working cover for her next project. We are wondering if this should be broken up into several smaller volumes to keep it from being too thick and overwhelming for readers, but we will let you know! And you can always leave a comment without a poll!

It follows the design pattern that we have come to enjoy and ❤️ that uses vector-drawn patterns and a notebook with a pixel-drawn illustration.
