In my author bio, I’ve said that while I often produced small writing and drawing projects over the years, I never found my creative purpose until I decided to raise some baby chicks.
Your chicken stories are so touching. I don't think about their physical limitations. I think once people get into the stories, those kinds of thoughts fade into the background.
To know that you have touched one heart is so gratifying. To know you have touched hearts all over the world is humbling and affirming and inspiring. One friend of mine has this saying on her email page: "One drop of wisdom can change the world." And children are the best place to begin quenching a thirst for wisdom of the heart.

Thank you for that, A.J. I think I may share an example of writing around their physical limitations in this week’s newsletter!
Sounds interesting!
I have so many friends who love chickens. I've been sharing your substack newsletter.
Thanks, Susan. I was wondering why the number of views was so much higher than subscribers! The girls and I appreciate you for that!

I agree with you 100%, Judi, and chickens have a huge amount of wisdom if we will only listen. (Dogs and cats too!)
