You may be wondering “Why?” I’ve asked myself that many times. Writing about chickens as main characters definitely has its challenges, but it also has some unexpected rewards.

To know that you have touched one heart is so gratifying. To know you have touched hearts all over the world is humbling and affirming and inspiring. One friend of mine has this saying on her email page: "One drop of wisdom can change the world." And children are the best place to begin quenching a thirst for wisdom of the heart.
